Laxman Savadi Breaks Silence on Rejoining BJP: “I Am Not Bidar LS Candidate”

Former deputy chief minister and Athani MLA, Laxman Savadi, has clarified that he is not rejoining the BJP party. The news or speculations circulating suggesting that he was contemplating joining the BJP and contesting the Lok Sabha election from Bidar Lok Sabha constituency are far from the truth.

Speculations had been rife that Savadi might join the BJP, but he made it clear that these are false reports. The people of Athani have blessed him to serve as MLA for a period of five years, and he stated that quitting the Congress and joining the BJP is nothing more than speculation.

Recently, a local media reported that Savadi has been offered BJP ticket to contest Lok Sabha election from Bidar as there was opposition in the Bidar BJP unit to give the ticket to current MP Bhagwant Khuba. And BJP leaders are doing their efforts to bring this Lingayat leader to the party fold.
